Puyo

It is known as the Heart of the Amazon or Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii, Puyo is located in the center-west of the Amazon region of Ecuador, in the province of Pastaza.

Puyo was founded on May 12, 1899, its name means haze in the native language of Kichwa. It is the second city in the world with more water resources, so it represents a showcase for scientific and community tourism.
