 The Academia de Español Quito (AEQ) also known as
Centro de Capacitación de Servicios de Español Quito, has specialized in
teaching Spanish as a second language to foreign students since 1982. Our
courses are recognized as a Bildungsurlaub program in both Hamburg and
Hannover, Germany and we have a partnership through the study aboard
program at Nicholls State University in the U.S. We are also a training
and examination center for the International Spanish Diploma (D.I.E.) and
accredited with FIDESCU, Foundation for the Study and Development of Spanish
Culture. The school is located in the commercial core of modern Quito easily
accessible by public transportation and close to banks, restaurants,
internet cafes, shopping and many tourist attractions.
Programs
Intensiva Program
The Intensive program is an intensive and individual 7-hour daily course,
perfect for the purpose of learning as much as possible in the shortest
time. Teachers, in a friendly and warm atmosphere, use professional
techniques and a wide variety of materials to keep students interested
during their lessons.
In this program students have plenty of opportunity not only to study
Spanish grammar and practice their conversational skills, but also watch
videos, read local magazines and newspapers, listen to funny stories
and/or Latin-American music. All these activities, and many others, are
always developed under the teachers´ direction and according to the
interests of each student.
Activa Program
With the object of lending an efficient and ample
service to our clients, we are pleased to present to you our program
called "ESPAÑOL ACTIVA." The Activa Program is for students who wish
to combine learning classroom Spanish and experiencing the flavorful
culture of Quito. Each day the morning hours are allocated to
intensive classroom instruction. The student and professor then spend
the rest of the afternoon exploring sites in or near Quito the city, museums, cathedrals or markets as the classroom. This
program is designed to equip a student with Spanish and allow her or
him to integrate that knowledge with day to day cultural experiences. |

The price includes public transportation as necessary for the various
excursions, entrance fees to museums, art galleries, exhibitions and a
beverage/snack in the afternoon.
Español Grupal Program
 Group lessons are available for those interested in learning Spanish with
friends. Each group should not be larger than five students and should be
arranged by the students themselves before coming to the school. For
example, if your high school or college is planning a trip to Ecuador,
this option is ideal. Group leaders are welcomed free of charge.

Optativa Program
This program was created to allow flexibility to those who wish to study
less hours. You can choose between 4, 5 or 6 hours of daily instruction,
as needed.
