The Hotel Silberstein, formerly known as Hotel Angermeyer, was originally owned by the German Family Angermeyer who came to the island at the beginning of the twentieth century. This place, surrounded by a tropical garden, served as an information center for tourists wishing to learn about the island. The new owners kept the original name until 2002 in order to maintain the tradition. Actually, the Hotel Silberstein offers the best combination of traditional hospitality and modern services - offering the highest standard of accommodations in this natural paradise.

This small hotel lies on the main island, Santa Cruz, in Puerto Ayora, close to the sea. The airport on the island Baltra, is at a distance of 100 km. The transfer by bus and ferry takes about 2 hours. The port and the dive base are very close to the hotel. The Charles Darwin Research Station is about 10 minutes’ walk away

Crossing by bus from north to south the passengers will observe in its 42 km. seven different types of micro climates which spread out of the sea level up to the highlands reaching interesting desert-like places wet regions, finally getting to Puerto Ayora and to your home, the Hotel Angermeyer.

Owned by Werner and Gabriele Silberstein, the hotel has tropical garden and pool. Close to the centre of town, a variety of excursions including diving, snorkelling and hiking can be arranged locally

The hotel has 22 wonderful rooms which are equipped with a double or two single beds, private bathroom with shower and toilet, fan and some of them with air-conditioning system to offer you the best comfort. From your room you can enjoy the magnificent view of the tropical garden. A swimming pool with bar, a bar-cafeteria and the restaurant "El Pelicano", in which national and international cuisine in an exclusive atmosphere is offered, form also part of the hotel.
