Galapagos Classic 5 days / 4 nights

Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer airport - Hotel - Afternoon off

Arrival at Baltra, reception and transfer to Santa Cruz Island, accommodation at the hotel. In the afternoon we will have free time to walk along the boardwalk in Puerto Ayora.

Day 2: Loberia - Punta Estrada - Grietas

We will visit La Lobería, an ideal place for Snorkeling in the company of playful sea lions and reef fish. Then we will go to Punta Estrada, to observe a small colony of blue-footed boobies and pelicans. We will continue with our tour until we reach the viewpoint of the shark channel, where we will observe them at a height of 14 to 15 meters. Then we will visit the beach of the dogs, in the rocks we will be able to appreciate marine iguanas, zayapas and occasionally lava herons. Later we will visit the Cracks, to swim in a paradisiacal lagoon of crystalline water. To end our tour we will go to the beach of the Germans to enjoy the sun and the sea of the Galapagos Islands.

Day 3: El Chato reserve/Lava tunnels - Twin Craters - Charles Darwin Research Station

After breakfast we will go to the upper part of Santa Cruz Island, we will visit the twin craters, two unique geological sinks with similar characteristics in the middle of a forest of escalecías. Then we will take a walk in the El Chato Reserve, where we will observe giant tortoises in their natural habitat. We will also enter the lava tunnels, where we will receive an explanation of the volcanic origin of the islands.

In the afternoon visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station, we will visit the endemic turtles and land iguanas exhibitors of the islands. Later we will start our return to the hotel along the boardwalk to admire the artisan market and other shops in Puerto Ayora.

Day 4: Tortuga Bay

The guide will pick you up at the Hotel, we will go to the Tortuga Bay beach, its very fine white sand creates an impressive landscape, it is a favorite place for sea turtle nesting. Here we will enjoy the sun and the sea in the company of pelicans and seagulls. After a refreshing bath we will return to the hotel.

Day 5: Transfer Hotel - Baltra airport

Breakfast, start of our return trip to the airport to take the flight to Quito or Guayaquil.

 

What to bring?

Photo camera, comfortable walking shoes, light weight casual stern, comfortable to wear and walk, sandals with thick straps, windbreaker or rain jacket, raincoat, swimwear, hat or cap, glasses, sunscreen, moisturizers.
