Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Baltra - El Chato Reserve/Lava Tunnels - Twin Craters

Arrival at Baltra Island, the guide will be waiting for you at the airport, transfer to Santa Cruz. Along the way we will make our first stop at Los Gemelos, 2 extinct craters surrounded by forests of escalecías and other endemic plants of the Galapagos. Then we will go to the Santa Rosa sector, we will visit El Chato Reserve, where we will observe the giant tortoises in their natural state. Then we will go to lava tunnels, where the guide will not give an explanation about the types of volcanic eruptions that formed the islands.

Day 2: Floreana Island

After breakfast we will go to the pier to take our boat that will take us to the Floreana Island, disembarking in Puerto Velasco Ibarra, we will take a bus that will take us to the upper part of the island where we will visit the Galapaguera to observe the turtles in a semi-natural state. Then we will go to the caves, which were used as a refuge by pirates. In the afternoon, we will have lunch at a local restaurant. We will continue with our journey to the black beach, where we will practice snorkeling and enjoy the company of sea lions and sea iguanas. Return to Hotel.

or Isabela Island (Tintoreras islot)

Very early in the morning we will go to the pier of Puerto Ayora to board the yacht bound for Isabela Island, we will visit the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center and the flamingo lagoon. Then we headed to the Tintoreras Islet, to enjoy a small bay surrounded by turquoise waters and appreciate sea lions, sea turtles, marine iguanas, rays, etc.

Day 3: Santa Fe Island

Departure from the hotel 07:45, we will transfer to the pier of Puerto Ayora, we will board the yacht that will take us to Santa Fe Island, on the way we will observe in the ravines a forest of giant cacti endemic to this island, colonies of seabirds, such as pelicans, boobies and seagulls. Here we can practice snorkelling in a bay with calm waters, accompanied by sea lions, manta rays and tropical fish. Later we will go to Playa Escondida, surrounded by a volcanic arm, ideal for swimming and hiking, observing colonies of marine iguanas. Return to the Hotel.

or Pinzon Island

The guide will pick you up at the hotel to start our tour to Pinzón Island, an ideal place for snorkeling in its turquoise and crystalline water, observing countless colorful fish, sea lions, and sea turtles. Finch is home to giant Galapagos tortoises of the endemic subspecies and other endemic species.

Day 4: Transfer Hotel - Airport

After breakfast, we will go to the airport to take the return flight to Quito or Guayaquil.

 

What to bring?

Photo camera, comfortable walking shoes, light weight casual stern, comfortable to wear and walk, sandals with thick straps, windbreaker or rain jacket, raincoat, swimwear, hat or cap, glasses, sunscreen, moisturizers.
