Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer Airport - Los Gemelos Craters - El Chato Reserve / Tunnels
Arrival in Baltra, the guide will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to the hotel on Santa Cruz Island. Before arriving at our destination, we will visit the Twin Craters, two sinks of land where we will observe a variety of scales. We will continue our journey to the El Chato Reserve, natural habitat of the giant tortoises. Then we will visit lava tunnels, natural formations of past volcanic eruptions.
Day 2: Seymour Norte Island - Bachas
Early in the morning, we will take the boat that will take us to the North Seymour Island, which was formed by a lifting of its rocky lava base under the Ocean. Ideal place for hiking, along a circular path that will take us to explore the rocky coast, to appreciate the largest seabird colony in the Galapagos.
After lunch, we will snorkel accompanied by green sea turtles and the famous Galapagos Sharks. We will visit Bachas Beach to enjoy the sun and sand. At 5pm we will start the return to the Hotel.
or Bartolomé Island - Sullivan Bay
Departure from the Hotel to head towards Sullivan Bay, which has great geological interest because it is covered by dry lava flows and offers spectacular landscapes. Then we will go to Bartolomé, where we will enjoy wonderful views. We will also visit a small and beautiful white sand beach surrounded by unique vegetation. Ideal place for snorkeling, where you can see the Galapagos penguins swimming.
Day 3: Plazas Island - Punta Carrion
Very early in the morning, we will go to the dock of the Itabaca Canal, where we will board a yacht that will take us to Islas Plazas, approximately 2 hours of navigation. Here we will observe one of the largest sea lion colonies in the archipelago. Then we will head to the other side of the island, to walk along a ravine, observing land iguanas, marine iguanas, masked blue-footed boobies, nesting forked gulls and tropical birds.
Day 4: Isabela island (with Islote Tintoreras)
Very early in the morning, we will go to the dock of the Itabaca Canal, where we will board a yacht that will take us to Islas Plazas, approximately 2 hours of navigation. Here we will observe one of the largest sea lion colonies in the archipelago. Then we will head to the other side of the island, to walk along a ravine, observing land iguanas, marine iguanas, masked blue-footed boobies, nesting forked gulls and tropical birds.
or Florena Island
After breakfast we will go to Academy Bay, we will disembark in Puerto Velazco Ibarra. Visit to Galapaguera to see the turtles in a semi-natural state. Then we will go to Las Cuevas, a natural refuge for the first inhabitants of the island and pirates.
Later we will go to a local restaurant on Florena Island, to taste an exquisite lunch. Before our return we will snorkel in the company of sea lions, sea turtles and tropical fish.
Day 5: Transfer Hotel - Airport
After breakfast, departure to the airport to take the flight back to Quito or Guayaquil.
What to bring?
Photo camera, comfortable walking shoes, light weight casual stern, comfortable to wear and walk, sandals with thick straps, windbreaker or rain jacket, raincoat, swimwear, hat or cap, glasses, sunscreen, moisturizers.
